ACTIVE INGREDIENT
Citric acid – 20%
INDICATIONS AND PROPERTIES
BC Citric Acid is a mild acidic, slightly antibacterial chelating agent that forms a relatively stable chelate complex with the calcium ions in the dentine. It is also recommended as a cleanser conditioner of prepared root canals for removing smear layer from dentinal walls, thus opening the dentine tubuli and even widening them.
DIRECTION FOR USE
1. BC Citric Acid must be dosed under appropriately hygienic conditions.
2. The solution is injected into the root canal for preparation and dilatation using tips for suitable rinsing canals. This should be repeated throughout the entire root canal preparation procedure.
3. Rinsing with a lot of water. Alternate rinsing with sodium hypochlorite to remove necrotic tissue, dentine residues and the smear layer, rinsing with water between applications.
4. Dry the root canal with sterile paper tips.
PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
Irritation of periapical tissues can be expected if the material exits through the apex.
